# Age: Red wines are often going to be aged longer than the white wines. The tannins in the grape skin will be a type of preservative. Since the red wine will keep the skins on, they will have more tannins to help them last longer than the white wines.
# Body: Reds are often going to have a bolder taste. If you like a wine that is more refreshing and lighter, then the white wine is a good choice to go with.
# Flavors: Red wines are often going to have some of the dark fruit flavors and some will come with vanilla or chocolate flavoring to them. White wines are often going to have more of the citrus or floral types of flavoring to them.
# Alcohol: White wines will frequently come with less alcohol to it compared to the red wine.
# Temperature: To get the best flavor, the red wine will need to be served close to room temperature and the white wines are going to be the best when you serve them chilled and have them a little cooler than room temperature.
In the end, it is all going to come down to your preferences and mixing and matching red and white wines can make life more fun.
